Mercy Choir - 2 Machines In The Garden

Paul Belbusti's need to create art and experiment knows no bounds. Easily the most prolific artist in the CT area, Paul's main musical act Mercy Choir starts out the new year strong with the first of what I am sure will be many releases this year.

As Paul is an artist in the truest sense of the word, he is able to conceive and facilitate conceptual pieces easily, and this EP is proof of that. Consisting of 2 tracks, the first "Machine 1" is a gorgeous multitracked acoustic guitar instrumental. 2 minutes and 8 seconds of beautifully saturated and reverberated guitars. "Machine 2 (In C Major)" is an approximately 24 minute long live drone piece featuring the most massive and lengthly C Major chord you have ever heard. Paul assembled locals and recorded this wonderfully meditative and transcendent piece at The Space in Hamden. This song is such a unique and inviting listening experience.

You better get this quick from Mercy Choir's bandcamp page because knowing Paul, you have days, maybe HOURS before the next Mercy Choir release!
