promoting as many CT shows and artists as we can. The spot series,

Palehound is a band getting some serious buzz. They are on Exploding In Sound Records (label home of Ovlov, Fat History Month, Pile, Speedy Ortiz, and most of the other ground breaking music happening in New England) and rumor has it they were a "Band to look out for" at this years CMJ. While they hail from several locations, one of those locations is CT. I had the chance to do an email interview with the band and review their debut EP "Bent Nail". Check it out below!

After David Scott’s only son was killed eight years ago, he
turned what was once a pastime into the primary way of dealing with his grief. Dark Blue Grass is a collection of songs
that emerged over that eight-year period and, as one might expect, they are filled
with themes of heartbreak, nostalgia, and vengeance (to name a few). However,
like good blues musicians, Scott has the ability to step outside of his
emotions and display a control that’s both masterful and captivating. The
result is a beautifully crafted record laced with rich poetry, blue-blooded
soul and immaculate instrumentation.
Killer show coming up at Cafe 9 on Wednesday. CT's favorite dark prog masters ATRINA are kicking off their tour with NY meaty pals BEASTY, and with The Mountain Movers on the bill too this is going to be a knock out show!
